How do I use CGI-BIN
|
Upload all your Perl or CGI files in cgi-bin folder located outside httpdocs. Give necessary permission such as 755 to the files. Magic comment should be #!/usr/bin/perl
Make sure CGI-BIN and Perl are enabled for your domain, if not contact your reseller. For program error check out the error_log file located in logs folder outside your httpdocs folder.

Can I get my raw log files.

Yes, log files are located in the logs folder situated in your root folder, which is one level up the httpdocs folder. error_log contains the error messages and access_log is for the access logs.
These files are rotated every week so you will have to download the log files every week if you wish to have all the log files.

Can I use Web interface to check my emails

Yes, the webmail is located at http://yourdomainname/webmail
Use complete email address as your user id e.g sales@yourdomainname.com is the complete login id.

How do I set up my email id in Outlook Express.

Open Outlook Express, select Files->Identities -> Add New Identity from the main menu. A window popup will come. Follow the in the wizard.
POP and SMTP Server names are your domain name without www.

Open Outlook Express, select Tools->Account from the main menu. A window popup will come. Select "Mail" tab, click 'Add', select 'Mail'. This will open another pop up window. Give necessary information in the wizard.
The user name should be complete email id. POP and SMTP Server names will be your domain name (without www).

My ASP page/pages are showing '550 Internal Server Error'. What is the problem.

This might be because of some errors in your page. Change your Internet Explorer setting as mentioned below to check the exact error message.
Select Main Menu -> Tools -> Internet Options. In the IR properties, click on ADVANCED tab, under 'Browsing' heading you will find one option 'Show friendly http error messages'. UNCHECK this option. (This should NOT be ticked)

The .mdb file will require Write permission for Internet Guest Account. Please send us a mail with the file name and location, we shall give Write permission.
It is better to put .mdb file in a seperate folder, thus by giving write permission to this folder, you will not require Write permission individually for the .mdb file.

Many software are available for FTP. CuteFTP and WSFTP are most commonly used FTP software.
FileZilla is good freeware FTP software.
